Summertime in the Sierras
Summertime in the Sierras
If there’s one place that I’ll always come back to, it’s the Sierra Nevadas. For the past 3 summers, I’ve made it a point to book a trip here and spend some time away from the noise, with people I love. For this particular trip, my friends and I set up base camp at the edge of June Lake and had the best couple of days cooking meals over the fire, diving head-first into a waterfall, and unwinding in the natural hot springs (with a beer or two).
I’m a proud creature of habit, so every adventure to the Sierras includes a dip in June Lake, a hike somewhere on Mammoth Mountain, and a sunset soak at the hot springs. During this trip, we took the shuttle to Rainbow Falls trailhead and made our way to the misty waterfall. We knew that we would regret it if we didn’t jump into the chilly water, so we did the cold plunge together and spent the rest of the afternoon basking in the summer sun :)

I’ll cherish this place + these memories for a lifetime. All photos were captured on 35mm film with my Canon Elan II and Samsung Evoca.
